ポーランドで一般的に愛されているミラベルプラムの木を描くことにしたの。
ミラベルプラムの木々は、街の中、建物の間、庭にひっそりと生えていて、まるで隠れた宝物のようなのよ。春には美しく花を咲かせ、日常生活に魅力を加えてくれる植物なの。
日常生活の中にある、ちょっとした瞬間や、最も普通のことが美しく、宝物であり贈り物だと信じてやまないパウリナ。ミラベルプラムが生活の中で、彼女の心を豊かにしているのかと思うといつかポーランドに行かねば、と思います。
This piece evokes the delicacy and softness of Nihonga, but perhaps that impression is simply from a Japanese perspective. The plants, shaded with watercolor and crayon, were far more expressive in person than in the images sent beforehand—just as is often the case with paintings.
I decided to paint the Mirabelle plum trees, beloved in Poland.
These trees grow quietly in the city, between buildings,
and in gardens—like hidden treasures.
In spring, they bloom beautifully, adding charm to everyday life.
Paulina firmly believes that the smallest moments and the most ordinary things in daily life are beautiful, treasures, and gifts. Thinking about how the Mirabelle plum enriches her heart makes me feel I must visit Poland someday.
